Abstract

The objective of this note is to examine the evolution of institutional and informal credit markets in Argentina during the last decades, and the association of this evolution with the existence of regulations and controls on the operation of the different institutional credit markets, in particular, those that affect the operations of the financial market under BCRA's control. In this sense, this work is part of a set of studies on different informal markets that are currently being carried out under the auspices of IDEC.
