This space provides open access to academic and technical publications and documents from the Economic Research Department of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA). These documents address topics relevant to the Argentine and global economy, with the aim of contributing to the debate and understanding of current and future economic issues.

Journals

  • Ensayos Económicos

    Ensayos Económicos (Economic Essays) is aimed at publishing economic papers which deal with the Argentine and the international economy from a theoretical, empirical or applied policy viewpoint, and promotes dialogue among different schools of economic thought, ultimately contributing to devise and assess policies to face the challenges posed by the Argentine economy in its development process. The journal is published semi-annually in May and November of each year.

  • Working papers

    The working papers represent pre-publications of academic articles prepared by the Central Bank's economists. They are aimed at an audience of academic and professional economists.

    Additionally, the documents are also redistributed through RepEc (IDEAS and EconPapers) and the Bank for International Settlements.
